Hiding vs deleting cards: What's the difference?

Understanding the Difference

My10x handles connected and manual cards differently:

Connected cards: Can only be hidden, not deleted
Manual cards: Can be both hidden and deleted

Duplicate cards from multiple bank logins
Closed cards you want to keep for records
Temporary removal from view

How to Hide a Card

Click the three dots (⋮) on the card
Select Edit or Not the right card? Change here
Check the Hide this checkbox
Save changes

Effects of Hiding

Card disappears from main wallet view
Still syncs if connected
Doesn't affect 5/24 count
Doesn't impact annual fee totals
Can be unhidden anytime

How to Unhide Cards

In My Wallet, click the filter icon (top right)
Check Hidden
Find your hidden card
Click three dots (⋮)
Uncheck Hide this

Deleting Cards

Which Cards Can Be Deleted?

Only manually added cards can be deleted. Connected cards must be hidden instead.

How to Delete a Manual Card

Click the three dots (⋮) on the card
Select Remove
Confirm deletion

Effects of Deleting

Permanently removes card from wallet
Loses all historical data
Cannot be recovered
Must re-add manually if needed again

Best Practices

When to Hide Instead of Delete

Closed cards: Hide to maintain history
Duplicates: Hide the extra copy
Temporary issues: Hide until resolved

When to Delete

Incorrectly added manual cards
Test entries
Duplicate manual entries

Managing Connected Accounts

To remove connected cards entirely:

Go to Manage Connections
Remove the bank connection
All cards from that connection disappear
Consider hiding individual cards instead

Common Scenarios

Chase Personal + Business Duplicates

Hide personal cards showing in business login rather than removing entire connection.

Closed Cards

Hide closed cards to maintain accurate history while cleaning up active view.

Wrong Card Added Manually

Delete and re-add correctly rather than trying to edit into different card.
