Why is my 5/24 status wrong?
Complete guide to understanding and fixing your 5/24 status calculation in My10x
Understanding 5/24 Calculation
My10x calculates your 5/24 status based on personal credit cards opened in the last 24 months. If your count seems wrong, here are the common causes and fixes.
Quick Fixes
1. Add Open Dates to All Cards
The most common issue is missing open dates:
- Go to My Wallet
- Click the three dots (⋮) on each card
- Select Edit
- Enter the Date Opened
- Save changes
2. Check Your Card Status
Ensure cards are marked correctly:
- Cardholder vs Authorized User
- Personal vs Business
- Open vs Closed
What Counts Toward 5/24?
DOES Count:
- Personal credit cards where you're the primary cardholder
- Cards opened in the last 24 months
- Both Chase and non-Chase personal cards
Does NOT Count:
- Business credit cards (in most cases)
- Authorized user cards (can be overturned on reconsideration)
- Cards opened more than 24 months ago
- Charge cards (some debate on this)
How to Verify Your Count
- Review each card in My Wallet
- Check: Is it personal? Are you the cardholder? When was it opened?
- Count cards meeting all criteria
- Compare to My10x calculation
Common Scenarios
Showing 0/24 when you have cards
- You're marked as Authorized User on all cards
- Open dates are missing
- All cards are business cards
Count is too high
- Hidden cards are still counted
- Closed cards within 24 months count
- Business cards incorrectly marked as personal
AU cards and 5/24
My10x doesn't count AU cards because they can typically be overturned during reconsideration calls. If you want them counted anyway, change your status to 'Cardholder' on those cards.
Still having issues?
Double-check that duplicate cards aren't inflating your count. Hide any duplicates to ensure accurate calculation.
